The Humanity Hale Curriculum Guide 2023-2024

The curriculum guide for the Humanity Hale program, was developed to convey our goals for this program along with our competency-based program for youth in need of trauma support and the community at large. This guide contains The Humanity Hale Logic Model, The Humanity Hale Curriculum Map, and Course Competency Commitment for each required course in the program. These tools were developed by The Humanity Hale Founders, to articulate how curriculum achieves the program goals.

A program participant receives 10 total consecutive weeks of programming, where one program is offered on a rotating basis (offered for one week every 5 weeks) alongside other programs. Thus, a program participant will receive 2 weeks of any given program over the course of those 10 total weeks of programming.

Week 1

  • Create a pre-assessment capture of feelings of safety, triggers, boundaries, and
    other self-advocacy measures with youth participants by week 1
  • Design programming curriculum by week 1
  • Youth and kūpuna co-create activities by week 1
  • Identify appropriate program mentors and staff by week 1

Every 5 Weeks

Schedule one week of each program for every 5 weeks. Programs to rotate 2x each per 10 week quarter.

Week 9

Design a transition plan for participants by week 9

Week 10

Create a post-assessment capture of changes in feelings of safety, triggers, boundaries, and other self-advocacy measures with youth participants by week 10
